GOLF RESORT DEVELOPMENT - UNIQUE CASTLE WITH LARGE 276 HECTARES PARK
Unique offer of classicist Chateau with a park and adjoining deer-park, 80km east of Prague
Originally early baroque castle, with advanced style of lay-out to type H, which was built mainly by M.O.Thun, who bought this property in 1661. The Castle was dramatically modified in classicism style by earl J.M. Thun later in 1862.
Native Italian garden from 17th century is changed into a natural park and adjoining deer-park – present look.
In 1948 whole property was seized by the state from Thun family and used as an educational institution in 1970.
The castle was restored in 1989. Deer-park was well looked after at all the time and is proclaimed as natural monument at present. There were no funds to maintain the chateau and the outbuildings, so the condition correspond to condition of 25 years without any outstanding restoration.
The castle was left in original condition without any restoration works by a new owner.
The only reconstruction that were made are relating to deer-park – new fencing, reconstruction
of the properties which are located in the deer-park (gamekeepers house, mow)
Around the border of the park runs a network of tarmac road, it the forest are matured trees, some of them are more than 100 years old.
Buildings – chateau, entrance building with a gateway, two detached houses with outbuildings, 4x gamekeepers house (2 were renovated, 1 for renovation , 1...........).
Other buildings not included in the purchase price but which originally also used to belong to the estate are situated in front of a gateway: riding- hall, brewery, farm buildings. At the moment available for sale separately.
